1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die

1001albums.jpg‎

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die is a musical reference book edited by Robert Dimery, released in 2006.

It consists of a list of albums released between 1950 and 2005. The book is arranged chronologically, starting with ‘In the Wee Small Hours’ by ‘Frank Sinatra’ and concluding with ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ by ‘The White Stripes’. Each entry in the list is accompanied by a short essay written by a noted music critic. The entries are accompanied by pictures, quotes, and additional information (such as the album’s running time and producer).

Most albums are available as streaming from Radio3Net in a special minisite.

(My first new years resolution is to go through each album in chronological order and list here as i finish listening to each one but this may take some time so watch this space)

1950’s

1960’s

1970’s
